Get the Catch: We offer the ideal rowing gloves for training, racing, recreational rowing, coastal rowing or tours. Rowing is physically demanding. This is especially evident in a rower’s unique trademark: rough, cracked skin and blisters on the palm of the hand. While sometimes this may be shown off with pride, this can become a painful nuisance whilst rowing. For occasions like these, over the past 10 years we have created ergonomically shaped and hard-wearing rowing gloves, under the name of ROWTEX.
FEATURES AND DETAILS
SP stands for Strong Protection – an ideal glove for beginners and all those who are prone to blisters. The SP is very similar to the LP, with the exception of additional padding to the most stressed areas of the hand. The glove is pre-curved, and thus fits the round shape of the handle perfectly. The material on the palm side of the glove prevents the formation of creases, which could cause subsequent blisters. A durable, single layer Clarino textile on the palm provides superior protection. This thin, but strong material ensures maximum feeling for the grip and thus full control over the oar and the boat. The Clarino textile is very soft and comfortable to wear despite its almost indestructible properties.
The neoprene wrist cuff with Velcro fastening allows for quick and effortless adjustment to any wearers size. A combination of a mesh material on the back of the hand and small ventilation holes on the palm, guarantee good air circulation and sweat evaporation.
The SP comes in dark blue to give a simple, neutral match to every outfit. The LP gloves also feature a design with red and green elements symbolizing port and starboard. An essential piece of kit for rowing!
To meet differing requirements, we have developed various models of ROWTEX rowing gloves. All models offer a tight fit, with no folds or creases creating pressure points. The pre-curved finger position optimizes the perfect hand position for effective blade placement.
